This is a Platner dining table, model 3716T, initially designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1966. This example dates to the late 1960s. Its design features a base constructed with vertical steel rods that are welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. The base is truly a work of art in itself. The original stained oak top has been newly refinished.
The table measures 54 inches in diameter, and has a height of 28.5 inches. The steel frame is in good shape, with a few small surface blemishes and some patina. The top has been freshly refinished and looks terrific, with some light scratches and scuffs. Overall, this table is in very good condition with light wear. There was a repair at one point on part of the edge, as shown in the photos. Please see photos.
