This lovely size 8.5 ring features two oval Mojave Turquoise cabochons that have been set in a unique solid sterling silver setting.
Mojave Turquoise is a fairly new type of composite or "mosaic" turquoise that consists of pieces of genuine turquoise that are bonded together, along with other minerals (such as pyrite), using polymers. Colors are added to the polymer to produce purple, green or orange varieties. The blue form is undyed. The GIA (Gemological Institute of America) did a detailed exam of this turquoise in 2010 and it was found to be genuine turquoise. Because small pieces of genuine turquoise are bonded into a larger piece, whether dyed or not, the end product is considered to be genuine turquoise.
This one of a kind ring ships for free within the United States, and will arrive in a pretty black leatherette gift box. It's truly special!
