Here's a great morning activity that introduces students to skip counting, place values, ordinal numbers, and subtraction. You get number cards for place values (plus a special 100th Day card), colorful craft sticks to indicate the number of days students have been in school and to figure how many days are left, and rubber bands to bundle the sticks in groups of 10.
