Enhance your 3D modelling experience with this grip sleeve for 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse.
A Spacemouse is a fantastic device for CAD, 3D modelling and rendering. I cannot work without mine and have bought several over the years.
Unfortunately, it's not perfect and it suffers from degradation of the rubberised coating used on the control knob, when subjected to natural oils and contaminants from the fingers. The surface often becomes sticky over time and unpleasant to the touch. Attempts to clean this are generally ineffective, (without physically removing the painted coating) and the control knob itself cannot simply be replaced. I've read that some people revert to wrapping insulation tape around the tacky area, which is (sort of) OK, but is a 'sticking plaster' solution at best.
This polyurethane sleeve fits over the knob, to cover the affected area. The shape allows it to confirm to the knob profile and fits snugly, without adhesive and can be removed at any time. Tested with Spacemouse wireless and older Spacemouse compact models. Available in four colours and a custom option.
For buyers wanting a custom version, please message first before placing order to confirm price. Price shown is budget only as I can offer bespoke, fully customised designs.
Note that the item is 3D printed in a flexible polyurethane. As a result, it exhibits visible build lines and tiny surface blobs, which can be seen in the photos. This material is not easy to print and these artefacts are virtually impossible to eliminate. Nonetheless, the function is not affected. Manufactured by a United Kingdom-based design enthusiast.

Say goodbye to tacky troubles!
