Super Rare Antique Middletown Plate Co. Quadruple Silver Plated Humidor from the 1800's.  Bottom is also stamped "Hard White Metal".  I suspect this is a Humidor due to the perforated sides of the inner compartments.  A sponge was probably in the center compartment and the tobacco products on each side.  Each side has a hinged cover.  Center compartment has a removable cover (was also hinged at one time).  Unfortunately, the center cover has some damage (top of design has broken off, and hinge is damaged, see last pictures).  Overall, a very stunning piece.  Measures approximately 9 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/4 inches, and 5 1/2 inches tall (to top of center cover).  Each side compartment interior is approximately 3 1/4 inches wide by 5 1/4 inches, and is 2 1/2 inches deep.  Center compartment is approximately 1 1/4 inches wide by 5 1/4 inches, and is 2 1/2 inches deep.  Currently there is a nice patina over the outer surfaces and a more silver colored interior.  Very nice raised floral pattern is on lids and body of humidor.  See pictures for more details.
