The spring lock has a centering pin that secures the soft plastic by inserting the pin in the nose and screwing it onto the coil spring

This gives a perfect presentation and no slipping of the soft plastic down the hook


Note: it is much easier and safer to twist the body of the soft plastic when screwing the spring lock into the soft plastic
This way you can keep the hook stationary and this will lessen the chances of getting pinned by the hook point
