Striking bold image of an interpretation of the Sirens. They are the mysterious seductive whispers that are unresistable to the listener. And if one succumbs, they will never come back. Often depicted as mermaids, they were one of the obstacles that Ulysses had to get through on his journey home. He wanted to experience it so he had himself tied to the mast as they sailed through the waters where the Sirens were.
