Star Dust Weathering Powders at a GREAT PRICE !
Dry Pigment Powders are the ultimate colorant tools in FINISHING your models with
a WEATHERED FINISH
You can take a completed ,painted model and apply the Weathering Powders to create a CONTROLLED weathered effect...The secret is to have the model completely sealed in a clear gloss finish that is impervous to what ever thinner Acrylic,Oil etc you will be using to activate the "Dust"...I paint in oils so I seal with acrylic... This way you can wipe off what ever you have done if youdont like it ... Ifyou DO like it then seal it again andd go on to the next effect.
So what you are doing is appling DRY powder with a soft brush on the model and then "activating" it with thinners and moving it around with the wet brush.. usualy removing most of it wet. as a result you are SHADING the paint and effecting its tone
SOOO....Ignore the Names of the Pigments and look at the Colors ...Using a similar color pigment on a paint will effect the tone and this is what you want..
Do Panels,OR entire color areas on a segmented color scheme ( you may have to mask)... but remember you can ERASE any thing you do!!!!

As a result Dry Pigments are not popular especialy for aircraft modelers Armour and Ships ship are the biggest market .... and They are NOT for idiots and most modelers unfortunately fall into this catagory ... including myself !
They are NOT "Instant Gratification/Results " tools. At this level you are painting like a professional artist and EVERYTHING is up to your judgement.. Pigments do NOT make your modeling easier ... rather they boost it to the professional level... Got it ?
I suggest you buy more than one bottle at a time to save on Postage ..One Bottle costs $2.77 to mail BUT up to FOUR costs $3.18..... Got it?

I ship most of my items cocooned in bubble wrap in a large envelope . Folding style one piece boxes are collapsed flat to avoid damage. This is a very effective, lightweight & inexpensive way to mail.
