Surely the rarest and most desirable form of isue of this:1960 2x white label single sided Test Pressings both in near mint condition of the complete album, MAX ROACH PLUS FOUR: Moon Faced And Starry Eyed. Band is Tommy and Stanley Turrentine, Julian Priester, Ray Bryant, and his wife Abbey Lincoln is the guest vocalist to two tracks. Stanley blow better than on his Blue Notes for me here, and of course has a natural affinity with his (harmon muted) brother. Low plays near mint test pressings from 64 years ago. Original correct flip back sleeve with matching numbers to the run out grooves. Plays fully near mint in lovely warm valve sound with full clarity. Mercury, like Contemporary is one of the greatest sounding jazz labels of the golden age.
