Red Cross stamps overprinted to mark the Allied victory in the Second World War, which led to the restoration to the throne of Ethiopia of Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia (a.k.a. Ras Tafari, the Lion of Judah, Jah, Jah Jah).
Haile Selassie had been driven into exile by the Italian annexation of Ethiopia by Mussolini in 1936.
