“FEDOSKINO”
The village of Fédoskino is called “Homeland of Russian Lacquerware” 40 kilometers away north of Moscow The village of Fedoskino, the oldest center of lacquered miniatures in Russia, rises on the picturesque bank of the Usha.
A good half of its inhabitants and the surrounding villagers are linked in one way or another to this craft of long tradition. Here already over 200 years that generations of painters pass on the secrets of local lacquer.
