Macdonald Carey

(1913-1994) He first made his career starring in various 

B-movies of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s (with a few A-picture 

exceptions like Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt"). He played 

patriarch Tom Horton in the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" 

for more than 25 years. Typed letter signed, April 26, 1983, to a fan.
