Coil Strip of 3 Stamps

This item includes an attached 4963a strip of 3 stamps Mint Never Hinged.

The Scott catalogue numbers are 4961 to 4963. Released on February 27, 2015 as non-denominated, presorted standard rate (10-cent value). The Stars and Stripes stamps are stylized American Flag split across 3 stamps with mint green dots. The three designs were created by art director Greg Breeding and beautifully illustrated by Nancy Stahl. Banknote Corportation of America (BCA) printed these for Sennett Security Products (SSP).

All 3 stamps have the USPS microprinting at different locations shown with our magnified images. The stamps are modern day precancels. It is unusual for a definitive se tenant design to have spread across three stamps.

The 2015 strips have been expertly cut from huge rolls of 3,000. The stamps will remain on their original backing paper.

Stamp Announcement 15-10: Stars and Stripes (Presorted Standard) Stamps
This year, the U.S. Postal Service celebrates a symbol of national pride with the Stars and Stripes issuance. The design of the three presorted standard stamps, which together form elements of a waving flag, puts a contemporary spin on an American classic. The stamps feature wavy red and white stripes, a blue field, and five-pointed stars. Along the bottom of each stamp are the words “USA Presorted Standard.” Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps illustrated by Nancy Stahl.
