1973 Towle Silver Pride Workshop Sleigh Bells On Leather Strap
Good Used Condition In Original Manufacturers Box
In 1973, Towle produced small silver-plated sleigh bells as a fund raising venture to aid the physically handicapped. Towle supplied the bells and leather straps to the Pride Workshop in Raynham, Maryland to be assembled by their members. Towle then distributed and sold the sleigh bells and contributed the proceeds to the physically handicapped. They ceased production for a couple of years, then resumed production in 1978. I don't believe they produced them for very long after that. They also sold individual bells in addition to the strap sets.
This set is in used condition in the original box. The original box is in nice condition. The 18 inch long strap holds five of the silver plated sleigh bells. Bells may show evidence of use and light corrosion on the bottoms from weather. As with all vintage silver, may require proper polishing upon receipt depending on your preferences.
