Noritsu Koki is pleased to announce the release of 5 new models - the QSS-3701HD, QSS-3702HD, QSS-3703HD, QSS-3704HD, and QSS-3705HD - which are new additions to the popular QSS-37 line of multi-function high-performance digital minilabs. These new QSS-37HD models boast a newly developed high definition 640dpi exposure engine, which is unparalleled in resolution and quality.

Due to the sharp increase in DSLR cameras in the market, more and more consumers are seeking higher quality and larger size silver halide prints, and the QSS-37HD series printers provide a perfect solution for these needs, as their print quality and color portrayal bring a new level of customer satisfaction.

The QSS-37HD series has all the great features of the QSS-37 series. Aside from the new ultrahigh resolution laser exposure system, all the main specifications are the same.

Features

1. High resolution, high definition laser engine
The QSS-37HD series has a newly developed high definition laser engine that produces 640dpi prints. This enables extremely high quality silver halide photos with outstanding color portrayal and excellent image depth.

2. Operation software “EZ Controller” (sold separately)
The EZ Controller gives you the ability to easily perform many important functions such as PJP, value-added print creation, and order management.
When using the EZ Controller with the QSS-37HD series, you can choose to output from the EZ Controller to the QSS-37 printer in any of the following 4 patterns for resolution and gradation.
320 dpi / 8 bits, 320 dpi / 12 bits, 640 dpi / 8 bits, 640 dpi / 12 bits

3. Raw image data support
Adobeâ€(TM)s DNGâ,,¢ conversion technology is incorporated in the EZ Controller, which enables QSS minilabs to process raw images as they are. After the raw image data is processed, the images are enhanced with “AccuSmartâ,,¢â€ and then printed.
Noritsu Kokiâ€(TM)s “AccuSmart” technology enables you to easily portray the natural beauty of the scene as viewed by the photographer when the picture is taken. “AccuSmart” is also incorporated in the EZ Controller, and using appropriate image enhancement it produces extremely high quality prints regardless of the image source.

4. A selection of film scanners to choose from (film scanners sold separately)
With the QSS-37HD series, you have three film scanners to choose from. The HS-1800 supports a wide variety of film including 120, and the LS-600 (600 frames/hr) / LS-1100 (1,200 frames/hr) support only 135 and IX240 film. You can also choose not to add a scanner, and instead use the QSS-37HD system as a stand-alone printer.

5. Setup prints taken care of automatically
The colorimeter is built into the processor. This enables the setup print to be automatically fed into the colorimeter after it comes out of the dryer unit, eliminating the need for manual operations. Also, the QSS-37HD series has an option called the “Control Strip Auto Loading Unit” that automatically processes control strips.

6. Interrupted orders signified by LED lamp
With the QSS-37HD series, it is possible to interrupt an order in process to give priority to an urgent order. LED lamps (Standard) on the order sorter are used to indicate which orders have been interrupted and which print trays the interrupted orders are in.

7. Rapid processing
By using specified chemicals and paper, you can reduce the time it takes for the first print to be output, and thereby provide a high quality one-stop print service where the customers can place their order and pick up their prints in the same visit.

8. Prints up to 914.4mm (36 inches) long
The maximum paper width is 305mm (12 inches) and the maximum paper advance length is 914.4mm (36 inches), making it possible to provide a wide variety of print services.

9. Triple/Quad Magazines (Factory option)
The triple and quad magazine systems enable labs that make various size prints to set multiple paper sizes at the same time. Magazine changes are quick and easy.

10. An array of options
The QSS-37HD series supports the MD-2 Unit, Bravoâ,,¢ II/Rimageâ,,¢ CD writers, DVD writing and many other options to provide a scalable system that allows you to add new services as needed.
