These courses have been used for over thirty years by United States government diplomats and officers for teaching / learning the Thai language. Other popular language programs (including Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur) rely heavily on the methods pioneered in this exclusive course.

The course is designed to help students reach a basic level of proficiency, focusing on the practical, everyday standard Thai you will need when visiting this beautiful country. It focuses primarily on the spoken language and the development of good oral skills, enabling the student to become confident in understanding and speaking basic standard Thai. Standard Thai is the national spoken language of Thailand and is the national dialect of educated speakers in Bangkok and Central Thailand. Standard Thai in spoken and written form is known by nearly all Thais, approx. 20 million people. The course doesn’t provide an in depth focus on grammar and language structure, although it will provide enough grammatical skills to perform the tasks given in any particular lesson.

Please note that this is a data DVD that will contain all of the books, audio courses, documents and material listed in this auction. It will work in a laptop or computer but will not work on a DVD player or audio CD player.
