This lovely piece is in fine condition and has been hand painted and signed by the artist Wesley "Wess" Smith, who painted for Figi Graphics from 1984 tp 1992. The art is in excellent condition with slight wear on the wood frame. 3889

The method used to create the art is quoted from Figi Graphics.

"Hand Cast Paper is an art form which balances the qualities of dimension, texture, color and design to create handcrafted artworks with the appeal of sculpture and the look of today. The pieces are made first mixing fibers with filtered water to return them to pulp. Next, handfuls of the pulp are placed in the original mold and worked by hand, weaving and interlocking the fibers to create a strong bond. The water is removed by various processes, and the thickness, texture, and pattern of the piece are determined by the shape of the mold. The newly created pieces are carefully inspected, allowed time to naturally air dry, and readied for final hand decoration, air brush painting and pencil signing."
