The Duo Lux is the brightest and most powerful model in the Duo range, offering the strongest LEDs and longest run time.

Supplied with an induction charging base that plugs directly into a wall socket. Designed to remain in the cradle for everyday use.

Lighting Modes

The Duo Lux operates in two automatic modes:

1️⃣ Motion Sensor Mode (Default Setting)

  • Automatically selected when first plugged in

  • Front LEDs activate when motion is detected in darkness

  • Light stays on for approximately 20 seconds

  • Brightness: 20 lumens

  • Sensor distance: up to 4 metres

  • Sensor range: 100°

2️⃣ Dusk Till Dawn with Motion Sensor (Dual Mode)

To switch modes, press the side button while the torch is in the cradle.

In this mode:

  • Front LEDs turn on automatically in low light (approx. 1 lumen)

  • Remain on continuously during darkness

  • Brighten when motion is detected

  • Return to the softer night light level once movement stops

This provides a dual night light feature for added safety.

Automatic Power Cut Function

  • Top LEDs automatically activate when power is no longer detected

  • Also activates if the wall socket is switched off

  • Provides up to 8 hours of light on a full charge

⚠️ Power cut detection only works when:

  • The torch has charge

  • It is correctly seated in the cradle

  • The wall socket is switched on

 Handheld Torch Function

Remove the torch from the base at any time:

  • Top LEDs turn on automatically

  • Press the side button once → Activate front LEDs

  • Press again → Flashing mode

Provides up to 8 hours of light in torch or power failure mode.

ℹ️ Important Information

  • The night light activates automatically when ambient light levels drop below natural daylight.

  • This may be triggered by shadows, object placement, or socket location.

  • The torch does not use time-based or smart technology — it operates purely on light levels.

  • There is no manual override for the light sensor.

  • Night light and motion sensor features cannot be turned off on this model.

If you are looking for a power failure only light, we recommend the Xtralite NiteSafe Maxi, which can be switched off on the unit itself but will still activate during a power cut.
