Rockdale Union Stoneware Redware Pitcher American Museum Collection Crafted By Potter John Tiller.  R.U.S. was produced by hand in Cambridge, Wisconsin from 1984-1991 & Edgerton, WI from 1991-1997.  It was a yellow mustard glossy salt glazed surface painted in French Provencal style.  It is 7 1/4" high x 5 1/2" wide plus handle, holding a comfortable 1 quart, but can hold 48 ounces.  The JT is stamped (signed) into the base for Potter John Tiller.  The piece was crafted in Edgerton for the American Museum Collection which was an adaption from the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  It was hand thrown & hand decorated with the same methods used by 18th & 19th century Pennsylvania potters.  This is a highly collectible piece of American Redware Pottery!  Thanks for looking!
