Pelikan was known for the Souverän® series, where you could always check the ink level in the barrel thanks 

to the transparent strips. Unfortunately, due to changes in production, this is no longer possible with the new barrels. 

This is a new barrel (non-transparent)

The spare part is new, original and equipped with a piston filling system.
