HSS/SS Simpson Stud Shoes are designed specifically to reinforce wall studs that have been notched for plumbing work and other modifications. Made from 16 gauge steel with a galvanized finish, these stud shoes are easily installed and do provide additional tension load capacity and strength. The Simpson HSS2-SDS1.5 2x Stud Shoe comes with 12 - 1/4" x 1-1/2" Simpson SDS Screws, which must be used in installation for product to be compliant.
