If you're close to everything and next to perfection, you know you're in Eatonton! This is a lovely community history focussing on Eatonton, Putnam County, Georgia. Originally settled in 1809, the chapters about this community cover 1807-1860, the Civil War and Reconstruction, Turn of the Century to WW I, Depression and Recovery, WW II and Korean War, and several subsequent time periods.
Beautifully illustrated with B&W and color photographs. Signed and inscribed by the author, a five generation Eatontonian. Minimal wear to covers. Text clean and unmarked, except for author's signature. The 176 pages are glossy and free of smudges, rips, folds or dog ears. There is a slight pressure mark on several pages midway through the book. The binding is tight and square. The dust jacket has a slight water stain in the lower spine corner. Minimal wear to the dust jacket, except for one slight tear at upper corner of spine.
