This is a stunning cased original silver Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society first class silver medal, awarded to W R BAWDIN for PATENT CLINOSTAT 1906. 45mm, ¬37g. 

Hallmarked for 1906, JAR maker and a cased GEM with gunmetal grey and some blue tones. 

Rare with original case in this condition, case marked W Holmes Islington N. Case hinges are good, but clasp spring not 100% so not locking closed. Case appears to be leather and velvet lower lining.
