IR offers several improvements to Class D audio amplifier by offering the new IRFI4xxxH-117P family of MOSFET half-bridges.

The integrated half-bridge package mode improves the layout of the PCB by halving the number of components. In addition to the lower on-resistance, the MOSFET half-bridge features optimized gate charge, parasitic diode reverse recovery, and internal gate resistance. These have raised the class D audio amplifier performance and effectiveness, the main parameters such as working efficiency, distortion factor and electromagnetic radiation.

The typical on-resistance RDS (AUF) of IRFI4xxxH-117P is 80mOhms, the gate charge is usually 13NC and the switching charge is 4.1 NC.
