This is a brand new set of 10x special drawing pencils, sticks and tools made by Cretacolor. The set includes the delightfully dark and expressive "Nero" pencils and sticks. Nero pencils contain a colour strip which is made from a blend of soot, clay and binding agents, plus oil. The addition of oil makes their stroke extremely soft and smooth and provides a very rich coverage. It is not soluble although partial wiping is possible in the softer grades. The soft grades leave a strong dense mark so that great depth can be achieved. Coarse strokes can be achieved by using a rougher grainy paper and the harder grades allow for a sensitive rendering of fine details.
Cretacolor Art sticks guarantee a top quality, intensely rich stroke due to their high degree of pigmentation. They are extremely well suited not only for sketching and drawing but also for experimenting with new techniques.
These are Cretacolor's top quality Art sticks and are not economy types of art materials where fillers and inferior pigments are used. These Art Sticks feature smooth and expressive application, allowing strokes only possible with high quality drawing implements.
