#2003 KA2-P  Keep Alive with plug

TCS Keep-Alive® (KA) devices are used to supply power to decoders during times of power interruption due to dirty track or problematic track work. 

Newly-redesigned and coming in at half the size of a KA4, the KA2 will power HO or N scale locomotives with approximately one-third of the capacitance of KA3/KA4 devices (depending on the locomotive and motor).

This Keep-Alive® includes a 2-Pin Quick Connector Harness for plugging into decoders with a compatible socket. , such as the T4.

Keep Alive® Decoder Compatibility With TCS Decoders

TCS Keep Alive® (KA) devices are designed to operate with all TCS (or any other Keep Alive® ready) decoders. Decoders with a corresponding socket can be used with the KA2-P. This will be detailed in the decoder literature if the decoder has the socket.

!!!WARNING!!! Decoders with a “-KAC” suffix have a non-polarized 2-Pin Connector for attaching the KA(x)-C. The KA2-P is NOT compatible with this style of plug-in Keep Alive® interface.

Keep Alive® Decoder Compatibility With Non-TCS Decoders

If you would like to attach a Keep Alive® unit to a non-TCS decoder, you need to connect the wires across the output of the bridge rectifier on the decoder. You will need to consult your decoder manufacturer for a schematic or wiring diagram.

USA Shipping:

• We ship using USPS First Class, Parcel Post, Priority Mail, and occasionally FedEX.
• We may upgrade your shipping method at our discretion.
• Tracking is provided. Orders over $750 will require a signature per Paypal rules.

International Shipping, Customs Fees, Import Taxes and Duty:

• We ship USPS First Class International and Priority Mail. It's your choice!
• There is limited or no tracking on FCI or Flat Rate Priority Shipping.
• Allow two to ten weeks when choosing First Class International, but it's usually far less.
• Please Note:  Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. 
• These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
• Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these 
•       additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
• Don't ask us to falsify a customs form...We will not do it.

Insurance:

• We insure all International shipments and some domestic shipments.
• Our insurance carrier requires a 20 day domestic (USA) and 40 day International waiting period before we file a claim.
• You agree to wait the required time and agree to complete a online affidavit for the insurance company if we file a claim for your lost or damaged shipment. Shipsaver is our carrier and they provide excellent service.

Returns:
