Hand made by my great Aunt Lucy, who was born in the late 1800's. She was most likely a teen when she made this cap. Pink ribbon threaded at the rim so it can be tied to fit. Little round of Irish crochet in the back with 4 crochet tassels/balls. Please see all pictrues as they are also part of the description. This cap was most likely a morning cap, worn to cover the hair during breakfast. Normally a nightcap would have been made of silk or satin, and morning caps would be done in crochet or lace.
