Description: Hardcover. 12mo. pp. xix, 183 [1]. Author’s advertisement (John Melish, Geographer and Map Publisher ... ) on final page. Bound in contemporary straight-grain calf with a fore-edge flap that extends from the back cover and folds into a leather band on the front cover, expanding pocket on inside back cover. Owner’s name in pencil on front free endpaper: “Taliaferro” and small later owner’s bookplate on front pastedown. The leather binding is rubbed and worn, toning and scattered foxing, a fair or better copy, lacking the maps. Scarce.
