A handsome copy bound by Lloyd, Wallis & Lloyd in three-quarter dark red morocco and mottled red linen cloth sides, elaborate gilt spine in compartments with raised bands (dated "London 1873"), blue marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Modest rubbing to the joints, wear to the tips and bottom edges near the fore-edge, near fine. A beautifully bound later edition of this celebrated sporting book, "considered by many to be the premier coloured plate sporting book in the 19th century." (R.V. Tooley).
