[Photo Album]: Cemetery and Landscape Architecture. Circa 1925

Title: [Photo Album]: Cemetery and Landscape Architecture. Circa 1925

Description: Hardcover. Oblong folio. String-tied black cloth over boards. 66 large platinum printed images mounted one to a page, ranging from 6" x 4.5" to 8" x 6", most are the larger size. Scuffing and erosion on the boards, thus very good, except for slight erosion at the edges of the first image, the images are about fine.

Beautifully composed images of cemeteries and the surrounding landscapes, pathways, gazebos, gates, Colonial-era tombstones, monuments, military graveyards, chapels, and greenhouses. Uncaptioned and the locations are not specified but at least one shows the gates of King's Chapel Burying Ground in Boston, another is of John Harvard's monument in the Phipps Street Burying Ground, and yet another of the Franklin Monument in Boston. Most of the others are in more rural and bucolic settings, but are likely also from Massachusetts and the surrounding states.

Handsomely composed and unusually large images.
