This is a 5 centimes token from the Commune of Bayonne struck to make small "necessary" change during World War I when silver coinage was hoarded. Various cities or communes issued both paper and metal currency beginning as early as 1914. There were six different denominations/shapes of coins issued by Bayonne between 1917 and 1920, "good thru" 1922.
Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age.
