This is an 1800s hand carved ox horn with prayers in a Tibetan alphabet. It appears to have been part of a prayer wheel. The letters/words are in two lines. I am not sure of the proper order but the letters/words are as follows:
ཡ མན པང མ ཧ ཧག ཋ
ཨ མན ངམ ཧ ཧག ས
It has a silver plated brass mount that is set with turquoise. One of the turquoise beads is missing. It is 2 1/2" tall and about 2" in diameter.
Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described
here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as
new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of
given age.
