100% Wool Civil War Confederate Kepi Cap GRAY - (X-Large)

This auction is for a handmade gray wool kepi cap. This cap is made of quality wool, leather with brass buttons and buckle. The bill is made of quality leather and has a cotton lining. Officially known as a forage cap, the troops referred to these as bummers caps. This was because the cap was thought to be shapeless. It eventually became the most common cap worn by soldiers in the United States army and its volunteers, especially during the civil war. Please note: Brims of kepis may vary slightly with different manufactures but all of good quality and style. Inside of headband measures approximately 24".
