Magnesium acetate is recommended for introducing or enriching magnesium in food, especially in dietetic food. Furthermore the product acts as a buffer salt and as a fungicid and bactericid.

In pharmaceuticals, it serves as a magnesium source against magnesium deficiency or as a systemic alkaliser.

Magnesium acetate is a free flowing, white , crystalline powder,  with no bitter taste.
