This Frederic Remington bronze statue is Hand Made by the "Lost Wax Casting" method. Originally conceived in 1895, "The Bronco Buster" was Frederic Remington's first bronze sculpture. It has since come to symbolize all that is triumphant and heroic of the American West. The Bronco Buster reflects Remington's attention to detail, along with his ingenious rendering of intense movement combined with a delicate sense of balance. A casting of Remington's The Bronco Buster sculpture has resided in The White House since Theodore Roosevelt's presidency. This statue is reproduced in solid bronze, cast with patina and then hand-rubbed to bring out detail and highlights. The statue is then mounted on a marble base with an etched brass plate. The incredible detail of this sculpture is a Remington hallmark. PLEASE NOTE: The Bronco Buster bronze will arrive with the rope from horse's mouth wrapped around the rider's arm to hold the whip so it does not get lost in shipping. It is necessary to unwind the rope and bend to ground and with the tip of the rope turned up to show action. Put the whip in the hole in hand. The end of the whip opens to give a additional action effect to the bronze.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE: When comparing bronze sculptures on eBay and elsewhere, remember to not only compare size and price, but also quality and origin. Many bronzes listed are foreign made which cannot be compared to American bronzes for many reasons, including quality and authenticity, e.g.: In the United States there is a minimum standard for bronze to be at least 95 percent copper. Most foreign bronze sculptures are 55% copper or less. You may find cheaper, but not even close to better!
