Description
A Superb variety that will make a stunning display in baskets / container, its pendulous habit lends it perfectly to hanging Baskets. These seed have been pelleted for ease of sowing.
Cultivation
Sow from Feb - April on the surface of a good quality dampened seed compost and lightly press into the surface
Cover the seeds very lightly.
Keep compost moist but not wet (waterlogged)
Optimum germination temperature is 18 - 23 deg C.
Placing the seed tray in a plastic bag after sowing will help to keep moisture in.
Germination can take upto 30 -40 days.
Once large enough to handle the seedlings can be potted on into cells or 3"pots
Once all risk of frost has passed plant in final position in baskets in a sunny position.
The seeds are covered with a special nutrient coating that facilitates uniform sowing and provides an initial supply of micronutrients and protect the sprouts from various fungal and infectious diseases, as well as from pests.
Sowing: Seeds are sown dry in the soil, as soaking can dissolve the protective coating.
Germination: Seedlings may appear a few days later than with regular seeds, but the plants subsequently develop more evenly and quickly.
