DEER BUCK DECAL Hunting Clear and White.

This is a static cling window decal. These decals are made of a thin, flexible vinyl or plastic material that adheres to smooth surfaces like glasswithout using adhesive. Instead, they rely on static electricity to"stick" to the window, which allows them to be easily applied, removed, and repositioned without leaving residue.

Here’s how static cling decalstypically work and how to apply them:

  1. Clean the Surface: Ensure the window is clean and free of dust, dirt, or grease. Use glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth to wipe the surface thoroughly.
  2. Peel Off the Backing: Remove the backing paper (if present). In some cases, static cling decals may not have a traditional adhesive backing, just a protective layer or no backing at all.
  3. Apply to the Window: Place the decal on the window with the printed side facing the glass (if you want the image to show correctly from the outside). Smooth it out with your hand or a soft cloth to remove air bubbles and ensure it clings properly. The "rubbing" you described helps create the static charge that makes it stick.
  4. Reposition as Needed: If the decal isn’t positioned correctly, you can peel it off and reapply. Static cling decals are reusable and won’t lose their ability to stick unless they become dirty or damaged.
  5. Optional Wet Application: For larger decals or to make positioning easier, you can lightly mist the window with water or a mixture of water and a drop of dish soap before applying the decal. This allows you to slide it into place. Once it dries, the static cling should hold it securely.

Notes:

  • No Adhesive: The lack of adhesive is normal for static cling decals. They rely on the material’s natural cling properties.
  • Surface Matters: These decals work best on smooth, non-porous surfaces like glass or polished metal. They may not stick well to textured or dirty surfaces.
  • Durability: Static cling decals are generally durable but can be affected by extreme heat, humidity, or prolonged exposure to sunlight, which may weaken the cling over time.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the decals flat on their backing paper or a clean surface to prevent creasing or contamination.
If the decal isn’t sticking well, ensure thewindow is clean and try rubbing it firmly to increase the static charge. If itstill doesn’t adhere properly, it’s possible the material is defective or notdesigned for static cling,
