I have recently upgraded our whole phone system and therefore our 2 line Uniden telephone is no longer required. It took us quite a while to find a 2 line telephone that we could use to separate personal and business calls being received on our two telephone lines. Previously we had to use 2 individual phones.
In addition to the features outlined below, it has a UK style mains wall transformer to supply 7.5 volts DC power (included in the sale) and it also has a compartment for 4x AAA batteries (not supplied) to provide short term backup power.
The phone works without batteries (as shown in the pictures taken after it was disconnected). When connected it indicates which line is ringing for an inbound call, as well as allowing manual selection of the line to use for outgoing calls.
Separate ring tones can be assigned to each line for additional convenience. The phone caters for two phone lines coming from separate sockets, as well as both lines coming from a single two line socket.
I had a number of DECT phones within the house (also for sale on eBay) that were successfully paired to this hardwired set giving a very flexible solution. Calls can be transferred from this phone to any DECT extensions paired to the set.
The phone was wall mounted in our home, but it can also be used on a desk if required. I believe it ideally needs a stand for desk use, although not essential. As it was wall mounted there is no stand as part of the sale.
