"The Weirdo" by Theodore Taylor - Hardcover w/Dustjacket (Edgar Allan Poe Award 1992) - Published in 1991 by Harcourt Brace - 289 pages - both book and DJ are in EXCELLENT condition - Inscribed (to Lynne) and SIGNED BY AUTHOR on the half-title page.  Chip Clewt, whom people have named the “weirdo,” is determined to protect the Powhatan swamp from the local hunters. “An eloquent debate pitting human and animal rights against each other is both informative and moving as this murder mystery/horror thriller weaves its uncommon spell. Deftly drawn characterizations, from the admirable to the loathsome, and an engrossing journalistic format are two of the many strong points that make this timely and compelling novel a winner.  There is only some very minor edge wear on the DJ, but this book is still in EXCELLENT condition and SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.  Please see the scan for the great cover, the author's signature and so you can judge the condition for yourself (unlike many other booksellers, who post generic scans, the book in my scan is the one you will get).  No collection of horror/mystery books is complete without this one.  You can try to buy this book for less money from one of those eBay booksellers with hundreds, if not, thousands of negatives (you know the ones I refer to) and be lucky if the book is delivered to you in the stated condition (if you even get it at all), or you can buy it from me and be assured of  a prompt delivery and of receiving a high quality item true to the stated condition.  You won't be disappointed.
