Royal Copenhagen Blue BACA Vase by Nils Thorsson | 704-3259

Nils Thorsson’s exacting approach to surface design can be seen in the highly detailed and complex relief pattern on this vase from the BACA series for Royal Copenhagen where he was Artistic Director. His designs on their behalf are considered prime examples of mid-century modernism in ceramic form.

This vase features an abstract pattern in black on blue glaze with paler blue and brown elements. It was manufactured in the period 1975-79. It measures 9" tall, 3" wide and 3" deep. Fully marked on the bottom with the ROYAL COPENHAGEN backstamp including the 3 waves. 

This MCM gem has been gently loved and is in very good condition.
