Royal Copenhagen Blue BACA Square Dish by Nils Thorsson | 704-2883

Nils Thorsson’s exacting approach to surface design can be seen in the highly detailed and complex relief pattern on this vase from the BACA series for Royal Copenhagen where he was Artistic Director. His designs on their behalf are considered prime examples of mid-century modernism in ceramic form. It measures 6-3/4" square and 1-1/4" tall.

This dish is square with round corners and features an abstract pattern in black on blue glaze with paler blue elements. Fully marked on the bottom with ROYAL COPENHAGEN backstamp including the three waves. 

This MCM gem has been gently loved and is in very good condition.
