Metal itself is in excellent antique condition with no major scratches or dents. Quadruple plate silver is quite tarnised, heavy dark patina, but engraved elements of bows, ribbons, and flowers are quite lovely. Lining of the box is appears to be of shot silk that needs to be removed or replaced, as may be seen in photos
