Rare collectible 1970's art piece titled "EXCEPTATIONS" by Johannes "Hans" Verplancke.
This one-of-a-kind framed nude masterpiece of the artist wife was created in 1976, using painted canvas panels with masonite backing, steel brads, and super-strength, durable polyester thread.
Hans copyrights all his work.
Johannes "Hans" Verplancke was born in the Netherlands in 1935 and emigrating to the U.S.
Verplancke and his wife originated and popularized this style of pop Art, known as "String Art," in the 1960's and 1970's.
Johannes "Hans" Verplancke preferred calling it "Suspension Art".
Framed artwork measures 36 1/4 inches in height (see photo #20) by 24 1/4 inches in width (see photo #21).
Signed and dated in lower righthand corner by Artist.
Has original wire hangers and Bio of Artist on back with title of artwork hand written by artist.
