Wonderful old oil on artist board painting measures 12" x 16" in a gilt wood frame measuring 13 1/4" x 17 1/4". Impressionist scene depicts a rustic barn, probably Pennsylvania or New Jersey in the 1930s or 1940s. Signed on the right hand  side, "G. Mc Menamy", the painting was part of an estate art collection in Bryn Mawr, PA, but we have no information on the artist.

In good, as found estate condition, an old varnish covering the painting has yellowed a bit, and the frame has lost a few small spots of gilding, and the corners need tightening, but no real damages or losses.

A fine addition to an American art collection, the painting is offered with out reserve.
