KK Chief ~ Laser-cut Wing Rib & Former Set

Note: This set is not a complete kit. A plan is not included, and additional materials are required to complete the model.

The CHIEF was originally an advanced contest design to the A-2 Nordic specification. Good looks combined with outstanding performance were the main object in mind when the model began to take shape on the drawing board early 1950.

The custom-made box contains the following 103 laser-cut parts.

• 24 Wing ribs cut from quality 1.5mm & 3.0mm balsa
• Ribs are cut with small 'vent' holes to alleviate the 'ballooning' issue when film covering.
• 6 Wing & Tail tip parts cut from quality 1.5mm & 3.0mm balsa
• 8 Tail ribs cut from quality 1.5mm balsa

• 10 Dihedral braces cut 

  in 3.0mm Balsa
• 22 fuselage formers cut in quality 1.5mm Balsa
• 23 fuselage formers cut in quality 3.0mm Balsa
• 7 Fin/Rudder parts cut in 3.0mm balsa
• 2 Fuselage root ribs and tail skid cut from 3.0mm Liteply (these original kit parts were balsa)
• Note: Some 3mm parts are now duplicated in 1.5mm
• No plan included - This is not a complete kit
