Loki sends an endless mountain of snow falling over New York using his Crystal of Transference, when he is visited by Karnilla. They conspire to get the Plague Cask and use it to overthrow Odin. They send the Snow Giant to Earth to destroy Thor, but Loki is betrayed by Karnilla. Loki reluctantly seeks Thor's help and defeats Karnilla, smashing the Crystal in the process, causing the snow to finally stop.
