* Significant damage to the hardcover and front pages of this former library book. Spine was enclosed in tape, that is now peeling off. Areas of the hardcover front and edges/corners have worn away. Inner front and back pages are full of scribbles, liquid paper, and a long tear. Repairs have been made to the cover. More pencil marks within the book have been erased. There is texture to the pages. The thick paper stock has preserved the pages very well despite this texture.

Wonderful source for decoupage images or first hand sources for pop culture studies of that time period. Could also frame pages. Nice heavy stock paper and beautiful illustrations.

“55 favorite stories adapted from Walt Disney films. A Golden Book. Illustrated by the Walt Disney Studio. Stories selected by Frances Saldinger.” 320 pages. Hardcover.

Both beautiful and disturbing. The quality of the art and some of the illustrations are a prime example of midcentury pop culture. Keeping in mind this was 1960s and 1970s Disney, some of the character depictions and characters themselves are offensive.

***** Mama Earth Massage and Wellness Important Points to Note *****

All items listed here are original vintage to the best of my knowledge and research. Ask any additional questions as I am continually adding information to the shop.

I use a rubric to grade the condition of books I’m selling. Since most of my books for sale are used vintage and/or collectible, most of the grades will be ‘very good’ and lower levels of condition.

Common defects I encounter (and note) in vintage, antiquarian/collectible are bowed covers, chipped edges, dampstained, darkening or fading, edgeworn, shaken, and shelfwear. Vintage cook books in general sometimes have grease spots and splatter, clipped coupons or missing inserts, broken or missing comb teeth, tape repairs / rusty staples / loose pages. All noted defects are listed with the graded condition of the book overall.
