The only recent big motorcycle made by the Dutch was the hand-built Van Veen OCR. It started life as a £3,300 prestige roadster in 1974 after six years of development, and finished as an £8,000 plus commercial white elephant in 1979. Audi/NSU designed the 1000cc. rated twin rotor Wankel engine, and Citroen developed and built it. With 100bhp on tap at 6000rpm top speed was 140 mph. and 0-120 mph could be achieved in 16 seconds. Kerb weight was over 700 lbs.
