Scott's water-cooled 2-stroke twin sportsters virtually dominated the racing scene from the time they appeared in 1908, right into the early 1920s. One of the best loved was the Squirrel model, which first appeared in 1923 as a 498cc two-speeder. Racing versions were made available and then a three-speeder, and finally a 596cc sidecar model. This 1926 500 weighed approximately 254lb and had a top speed of 75 to 80 mph.
