When 'Star Trek' was recreated for another generation, many people were delighted! Some people, however, found one of the characters, Wesley Crusher (played by Wil Wheaton) to be grating and wished that he would just be quiet instead of spieling off some technobabble that always ended up being the right thing to do. The phrase "Shut up, Wesley" was said by Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the episode "Datalore" and quickly became a fan favorite.
